News...

AAA becomes a DLWP project

The De La Warr Pavilion has been host to AAA since it began in 2006, and has worked closely with the project’s instigators, the East Sussex Arts Partnership, to make it a success.

Now, the project has been handed over to the DLWP to run directly as part of our artistic programme, and we’re really excited about exploring how we can develop the project.

The core aims of AAA remain the same:

·        To celebrate the best of youth arts and youth culture.

·        To engage young people aged 13-19 from across East Sussex, offering new opportunities to participate in top quality, innovative arts activities.

·        To work with a range of key partners to deliver the project, including local authorities, cultural and youth organisations across the county.

We are particularly committed to:

·        Working across art forms, with a particular connection to the work of the DLWP, i.e. visual arts, music, film.

·        Developing the AAA off-site programme with outreach work throughout the year, around the county.

·        Ensuring young people play a key role in the development and delivery of the project through the DLWP Arts Ambassadors scheme.
