The De La Warr Pavilion is committed to playing a strategic role in supporting artists' professional development in the region.

ARC @ DLWP

DLWP is a partner in the ARC scheme, a programme of Artists Professional Development co-ordinated by the Aspex Artists Resource Centre, that works across the South East.

ARC is sited at a number of partner organisations positioned throughout the region. These are: Turner Contemporary, Margate; South Hill Park, Bracknell; OVADA (Oxfordshire Visual Arts Development Agency) in partnership with Modern Art Oxford; Fabrica, Brighton; The Lightbox, Woking; and the De La Warr Pavilion.

ARC programme of activities:

  • One-to-one surgeries for individual artists
    One-to-one surgeries take place at partner organisation on a rolling basis. The sessions are led by an Artist Advisor and last about 45 minutes.  For biogs of the advisors and dates of surgeries see the ARC website at http://www.aspex.org.uk
  • Advice for artist-led groups
    Artist Advisors make visits to artist-led groups based within the region for surgery sessions
  • Networking events
    Networking events take place at each partner organisation.  These are an opportunity to get together with your peers to discuss key issues, and often involve an invited speaker or facilitator.
  • Seminars
    One large scale seminar takes place each year. These are developed by the lead and partner organisations in association with the Artist Advisors.
  • Website and email newsletter
