Utopias

The De La Warr Pavilion in partnership with the Hastings and St Leonards Excellence Cluster Present UTOPIAS an exhibition of work by Bexhill and Hastings Secondary Schools.

Utopias was a project designed for those students on the "gifted and talented" programme of Bexhill High School, Helenswood School, Hillcrest School, St. Mary's College and William Parker School. It asked young people the question
"what does Utopia mean to me?" and encouraged them to think critically about the way we live and how we are influenced by the built environment. The students worked with five writers and artists -  Louise Bristow, Christine Harmer-Brown, Rob Nice, Sheridan Quigley and Angela Rogers - to develop ideas on what they would do if they had the power to make real change.
