Acid Brass is a live event, initially created by artist Jeremy Deller, where a brass band plays acid house anthems. Acid Brass will be re-created on the De La Warr Pavilion terrace on Saturday 26th August by the Fairey Band, a 32-piece band from Stockport who were the original band in the Deller project. This is music with a big sound!
Founded in 1937, the Fairey Band are sixteen times British Open Champions and nine times winners of teh title National Band Champion of Great Britain. This illustrious band has achieved recognition outside the confines of the brass movement with Acid Brass with appearances at rock festivals and on MTV!
