Hosted at London College of Communication as part of London Design Festival, Ivan Chermayeff: Cut and Paste is a De La Warr Pavilion touring exhibition, co-curated by Alan Powers and Jane Won.

Ivan Chermayeff is the co-founder of one of America’s leading graphic design companies,Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv, which has created logos and brand identities for major corporations such as Mobil, Chase Manhattan and PanAm, and cultural institutions including The Museum of Modern Art, New York and Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.

Ivan Chermayeff: Cut and Paste, an edited version of an exhibition previously held at the De La Warr Pavilion, is a colourful and playful exhibition of posters, with a focus on the more personal side of Chermayeff’s practice and his passion for design and typography.

Born in London in 1932, Ivan is the son of Serge Chermayeff, one of the architects for the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea.
