Westcountry folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman has successfully steered English folk into the mainstream with high-energy performances and a series of best-selling albums including his current album WORD OF MOUTH which entered the charts at No.20 on release in February 2014 to rave reviews ‘his finest in years’ (Evening Standard).

Word Of Mouth is a defining album for Seth Lakeman and features the stories of the real local West Country people who inspired the album.  His previous albums include Mercury-nominated ‘Kitty Jay’ and the gold-selling ‘Freedom Fields’ (2006) which features the song, ’King & Country’.

Highlights in 2014, alongside a raft of sold out shows and festival appearances around the UK and Europe, include a special performance of ‘King & Country’ in June with the BBC Concert Orchestra as part of the BBC Radio 2’s D-Day commemorative Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, a Christmas Day TV appearance where Seth was a guest performer on Tim Rice A Life in Song – a celebration of one of our greatest musical lyricists and being asked to present a two hour BBC Radio 2 Folk special.

Support Act: WILDWOOD KIN

“They just blew me away” James Santer, BBC Introducing

Wildwood Kin are an acclaimed indie/americana trio from Exeter in Devon comprising of two sisters, Beth and Emillie Key and their cousin Meghann Loney.  The music is a mix of their own beautiful and thought provoking original songs with a few stunning arrangements of some better known covers.  Their voices meld perfectly in effortless and sublime close harmony and they accompany themselves on a range of acoustic instruments.

Although they have only been performing together for less than 18 months the girls have already been shortlisted to the final four in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards 2015.  Their music has been played on National radio and they headline a BBC Introducing stage this Summer. Last year they won first prize in the National Open Mic UK competition.

With a full diary of festivals and gigs for summer 2015, they have just released their first EP which is now available on i-tunes and Spotify and they are working on their debut album for release in early 2016.
