De La Warr Pavilion announces Arts Council England’s Catalyst Evolve award
The De La Warr Pavilion is delighted to announce that it is has been awarded a Catalyst Evolve Award from Arts Council England for 2016 – 2020. We are one of 140 projects that will collectively receive a total of £17.5 million through the Catalyst Evolve programme.
The Evolve programme supports organisations to enable them to attract more private giving via philanthropy. Philanthropic income could be in the form of major gifts, trusts and foundations, corporate donations and individual giving. ACE expect the organisations will continue to generate new money for the sector beyond the end of the grant programme.
The award given to the De La Warr Pavilion comprises a grant of £39,207 to be invested in building the fundraising team and resources within the organisation and a further £91,674 to be used as match-funding for any new philanthropic income that is raised from 2016 – 2020.
Emphasis will be on raising new funds for the building and new programmes – including the return of the popular Dear Serge programme .
Stewart Drew, Director and CEO of the Pavilion says :
‘Diversification of our income streams is really key to the De La Warr Pavilion Charitable Trust being a resilient organisation and being able to offer real value for money from the public funding we receive. The Catalyst funding will really help us to develop our fundraising activities, as we work towards further care of and investment in the building.’
