For this weekend’s Art Sunday, get ready to dive into a sea of green at “Jack Attack”! Embrace the spirit of Hastings’ iconic Jack in the Green festival by crafting your very own leafy masterpiece. As you design your Jack in the Green mask using only shades of green, you’re not just creating art — you’re joining a tradition that celebrates the arrival of spring and the vibrancy of community. Then, on May 6th, don your creation proudly as you join the festivities of the Jack in the Green festival itself, where Hastings comes alive with music, dance, and the mythical spirit of Jack. It’s a weekend of creativity and tradition you won’t want to miss!
WHAT ARE ART SUNDAYS?
Art Sundays are free drop-in creative workshops that take place on the first and third Sunday of every month, open to all ages.
Each week, the workshops will be led by an artist taking inspiration from our exhibitions programme.
You can find Art Sundays in the Rooftop foyer from 2pm – 4.30pm.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Art Sundays have been kindly supported by the Isabel Blackman foundation.
