Join us for on Sunday 20 November for our next Art Sunday's session, led by fibre artist Christine Fireheart.
Have you ever wondered what to do with that one piece of clothing you’ve worn until the colour has faded to a deep shade of dull? Or maybe the colour still pops but the moths made a meal out of it while you weren’t looking! Well we have a very nifty solution to breathe some new life into that old garment! What you need is an upcycled cloth pot you can use to store your collection of treasures and trinkets in!
Join us this Art Sunday and bring along a favourite worn-out garment to be cut up and upcycled into a coil cloth pot! Don’t have an old garment? No worries, you can also choose from our collection of snazzy fabrics donated by Lee Taylor of The London Road Fabric Shop, Bexhill! So dig around the bottom of that wardrobe and let’s make some coiled cloth pots!
WHAT ARE ART SUNDAYS?
Art Sundays are free drop-in creative workshops that take place on the first and third Sunday of every month, open to all ages.
Each workshop is led by an artist taking inspiration from our exhibitions programme.
You can find Art Sundays in the Learning Space in the Ground floor gallery from 2pm – 4.30pm.
We look forward to seeing you there.
