Later in the morning you’ll be handling objects that children played with and found on the beach over 100 years ago, and looking at a Victorian bathing costumes, 1950s bucket and spades, picnic baskets and cameras on display in the gallery.
Tuesday is Art Day at the De La Warr Pavilion and you’ll be working together to make a HUGE Japanese Crab sculpture for the auditorium! You’ll also be drawing shells, making a colourful coral reef sculpture using pipe cleaners and designing a seaside postcard to ’send’ home. You might even make a pop-up mermaid or merman!
On Wednesday and Thursday, at the Pavilion, Create Music will help us create music and sounds about the seaside with instruments such as keyboards and drums. No musical experience necessary!
Each day includes a delicious cold packed lunch, especially made in the De La Warr Pavilion kitchen, and outdoor play in the park and outside the Pavilion.
