ABOUT BEXHILL ARTISTS' WORKSPACE

BAW is a group of professional and amateur artists and craft workers working in Bexhill and surrounding area. They were established in 1988 and have over 80 members.

They have a programme of activities during the winter months with portrait and life painting skills. In the summer we have outdoor activities.

They also have workshops covering printmaking, macrame, origami, crochet, painting and many more.

All of these sessions are supportive and friendly.

As well as the Art Exhibition they also hold two Craft Fairs a year. Later this year on July 25th, BAW will have a fair at Bexhill Sailing Club and in Novembe and a Craft Fair in the Studio at the De La Warr Pavilion. Artwork and handmade crafts will be on sale. The entry is free.

BAW also have Open Studios at Bexhill Museum on the second Sunday of the month where you can see artists working and chat to them about their creations. For more info www.bawuk.org
