Bexhill goes Country and Wild West on Saturday 6 September at the Bexhill’s Spirit of the Wild West.
A full day of family fun and live entertainment.
- Great country music including the Country Chix, Country Cool and the Dolly Parton story, with local performances by Hastings Stage Studio and the Bexhill musical theatre group.
- Line dance tuition and a masse line dance for everyone to join in, all ages.
- Classic American cars will be on display.
Step back in time, starting with the legendary Delorean time machine, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Back to the Future trilogy, with gadgets, lights, music and the dashboard set 06 September 1885 !
As in Back to the Future 3, you will be transported back to the Old West of 1885, complete with Saloon bar, Tombstone Market and performance arena
Adding to the atmosphere, a Mexican Mariachi band will bring the unforgettable sounds of a border town and strolling cowboy musicians will mingle with the crowds. Gun spinning skills, whip cracking and lasso demonstrations are just part of the Wild West Danger Show. Get ready for cowboys mingling, with impromptu action in the arena. All this builds up to the showdown with an incredible Stunt Action Cowboys show!
For the little ones, a vintage fun fair and Punch and Judy shows, which were introduced from England and became very popular in America in the 1800s. Our Rodeo horse will give the opportunity for younger Western folk to have a gentle canter, and for the tougher guys ” coming out of chute no 4″.
See if you can hang on longer than your friends ! “Ride em Cowboy”. See if you can outdraw the bad guy in the Saloon shootout game. Compete with a friend to see who’s the fastest, as both your times will be displayed. No better Western lunch than a hog roast! Food outlets on the lawns.
