A person is rolling purple ink on paper with a brayer. Nearby are geometric stencils, papers with patterns, and colourful prints, showing an art project in progress.

Join artist Lucy Grainge for a series of five creative workshops for young people as part of an art and placemaking* project in partnership with Bexhill Train Station.

Through drawing, printmaking, and creative writing, participants will explore themes of welcome, heritage, and identity to co-create permanent artworks for the station. The ideas and artworks developed during the sessions will shape new installations to be unveiled at Bexhill Train Station in Spring 2026. The project is funded by the Railway 200 programme.

Please note that this project will involve visits to Bexhill Museum and Bexhill Train Station. All sessions will start at De La Warr Pavilion, and we will update participants on session schedules beforehand.

*Placemaking is about people coming together to shape the places that they use, making them feel welcoming, creative, and meaningful for everyone.
