Afri-Co-Lab are holding a creative away day for Black & People of Colour who are artists, creatives, community organisers and facilitators: a radical act of community care for folks living and working in the local Hastings and Rother area.

This is a free event, but booking is required. Click here to book.

“Come and fill your pot! Join us for an afternoon of relationship building, guided breath & body work and image making exercises, all curated to offer a space to breathe, dream and open your imagination.

There are no expectations, no specific outcomes, no specific experience or practices needed- just space intentionally held for you to explore.

It’s been a tough time for everyone for many different reasons, however we have seen and felt the intersectional repercussions of this for the Black and POC creative community. As sections of our wider community suffer in the current climate, the BPOC creative and community supporters are tasked with even more to do in supporting our communities. We at Afri-Co-Lab have developed this session in response to this additional emotional labour and the conversations we have been having in the creative community.

This is an invitation to put something back in your pot. We’ll do the planning, holding, organising all you need to do is book and we will take care of the rest.

There will be drinks and snacks available throughout the session and a sharing of food from 5pm.”
