There’ll be lots of inspiration to be had as you learn about the art on display and develop your own creative responses to what you see, working in prose, poetry or autobiography.
Join novelist and playwright Hannah Vincent for an inspirational workshop, exploring our exhibitions, through playful and thought-provoking creative writing exercises.
Looking at the exhibition In A Dream You Saw A Way To Survive And You Were Full Of Joy, use a combination of group discussions, writing exercises, individual writing time and sharing in a group to get the very most from the gallery experience.
Entrance to the exhibition is included in the price of the workshop ticket – and all you’ll need to bring is your notebook and pen.
No previous knowledge of either art or writing is necessary to enjoy these sessions. All writers who attend are offered the opportunity to publish their writing on the Drawn to the Page blog which will be updated monthly. One of our recent participants has also just published a story she started at the gallery in the high profile, Litro Magazine.
