Join Hastings Sinfonia, guest soloists, singers and dancers for a celebration of the unforgettable tunes and rhythms of Spain and South America. Revel in the sultry arias of George Bizet’s Carmen, the enchanting melodies of Tchaikovsky’s Spanish Dance from Swan Lake, and spellbinding live performance by Amor Flamenco .
Baroque Flamenco brings the passionate Spanish dance to the harp, while Piazzolla’s atmospheric Libertango and Tango Solitaire by the orchestra’s founder composer Polo Piatti, will transport you straight to the streets of Buenos Aires.
The orchestra is thrilled to be performing again with the talented local youngsters of St. Richard’s Catholic College Choir, who will perform Mexican folk song La Cucaracha and Coldplay’s Vida la Vida, and with the sensational young dancers of East Sussex School of Performing Arts. The groups’ previous collaborations at the De La Warr Pavilion were rousing sell-out performances.
The Fiesta concert concludes with the sweeping Mambo Symphonic Dance from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Experience the thrilling music of the south on the south coast of England.
