ABOUT THE ARTIST

Babalola is a Hastings based multidisciplinary artist working through clay, canvas, copper, photography, performance and film. He was part of the 2022/23 cohort of Early Career Studio Programme with Flatland Projects. He is interested in the ability for art to move ideas through spaces, between works and between people. When working as a facilitator he likes to work in collaboration with the participants in order to explore new ways of seeing together. Babalola is also a youth worker based in Hastings and has previously led activity for young people at Towner Gallery.
