An exciting film making workshop for young people, led by artist and director Fox Fisher (My Genderation) with a focus on storytelling for LGBTQIA+ voices.

Learn to create a short film taking a film idea from concept to completion in just a few hours with other like minded young people. This is an opportunity to be involved in many aspects of film-making, including ideas, scriptwriting, scouting locations, props, hair and make-up, being in front of and/or behind a camera, audio recording, music or editing.

This event is suitable for ages 16+

Originally from Hastings, Fox Fisher is an artist, film-maker, author and educator. They are the co-creator of My Genderation and current Lead Director. Through My Genderation they have created 100+ short films – and in 2017 they were given an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Brighton for their contribution to trans equality and the arts.

My Genderation:

My Genderation is a film project that celebrates trans lives and trans experiences. The project was founded by Fox Fisher and Lewis Hancox after appearing on the mainstream documentary My Transsexual Summer that aired on Channel 4 in 2011. Feeling frustrated that their experiences weren’t portrayed authentically, they started to create films about the trans people around them.
