This summer we are inviting young people to busk on our outside stage and in our Café on selected dates.
Over the summer, the terrace at the De La Warr Pavilion will come alive with our vibrant programme of outdoor events celebrating music, movement, creativity and community. Outside On The Terrace brings together experiences for all ages, of which most are free!
From live music and dance events to cultural celebrations, workshops and summer gatherings by the sea. Across the sunny months, visitors can enjoy exciting community-led festivals and family-friendly activities as well as Bexhill’s Big Summer Sounds, all set against the iconic backdrop of the Pavilion and the Bexhill coastline. Most events are free to attend, making Outside On The Terrace the perfect affordable way to experience the best of the summer by the sea.

Solar Eclipse Watch | Wednesday 12 August
With the East Sussex Astronomical Society. View the solar eclipse with the experts! + Family Workshop from 4pm.
Voguesss | Friday 14 August
A music focused house, hi-nrg and acid-house party for the LGBTQIA community and everyone else who is sound. Founded by Coco Cole and Fancy Shews!
Mass | Sunday 16 August
A one day event in celebration of 3 Dimensional art, inspired by Tschabalala Self's, Seated. Part of the Bexhill Art Weekender, featuring local artists showing and selling work.
55 | Sunday 13 September
Join Ernie (aged 19) and Gerard (74) for this dance duet, where Gerard, with his 'in memoriam' bench is looking for a place to rest. A Stacked Wonky production supported by Applause.
Jute | Saturday 19 September
Exploring a 20m jute rope with playfulness and imagination, this dance performance ends with a community disco! All performers are aged 60+.
