The International Composers Festival 2022 opens with the very best in beautiful and exciting tuneful music. Pieces were carefully chosen from many hundreds of submissions from all over the world and performed in the presence of many of the composers.
This concert features the premiere of Polo Piatti‘s Old World Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, performed by young virtuoso cellist Tim Posner plus Debbie Wiseman OBE score of Anne from her beautiful album Kings and Queens.
Further performances include emotional music by Kazakhstani composer Yerkesh Shakeyev, performed by British pianist Oliver Poole, a very evocative work by international award-winning Greek composer Eleni Lomvardou, and an exciting premiere by Composer in Residence Paul Lewis dedicated to the RNLI plus many other fabulous pieces.
The International Composers Festival is a unique three-day festival on the south coast of England, celebrating music of passion and melody, created by living composers from all over the world, many of whom will be attending the Festival. It features world-class performances with big orchestral scores, film, television themes, chamber, song and dance music, performed by the International Festival Orchestra, soloists, ensembles and dancers.
