A new series of weekly sessions for anyone aged 12-20 years experiencing social, emotional or mental health challenges. Develop new creative skills, find out about contemporary photography and photographers, and create your own artwork.
Photography can help us to stay in the moment and take notice of the world around us. We can use photography to explore feelings and ideas and help us make sense of things.
You will be encouraged to experiment and explore a range of different approaches to photography.
Photo Club will encourage confidence in expressing your ideas and feelings, as well as enabling teamwork in a supportive and friendly environment.
Ever wanted to see your artwork online? Well this course offers you that chance.
You don’t need any prior photography or creative skills or experience. All you need to take part is a Smartphone or camera and access to Zoom through a Smartphone, laptop, or computer.
Photo Club is facilitated by artist Lynn Weddle, peer mentor Amiee Staples and mental health practitioner Rachel Hines, in partnership with Sussex Discovery College.
Photo Club will be a blended creative experience, delivered in person onsite at the De La Warr Pavilion (DLWP), and online.
