Spring Exhibitions 2025 Opening Party Photo by Phoebe Wingrove.
A relaxed morning for anyone with access requirements, complex needs, anxiety or those who would feel more comfortable in a quieter environment.
You do not need to be quiet and are encouraged to be yourself, there will be additional staff available to support and an accessible talk about the exhibitions, from our Learning Team.
There is not a fixed start time to this event, and you can arrive anytime between 10am and 1pm.
At 11am and 12pm there will be a short, accessible introduction to the exhibitions from the DLWP Learning Team.
For Jaki Irvine’s installation downstairs, the lights will be turned up and sound turned down to create a more comfortable environment for those with sensory sensitivities.
On this day there will be an optional drop-in creative workshop responding to the exhibitions for people that would like to connect with the work in a sensory way.
Drop ins are welcome but it is advisable to book a place so that we know capacity.
Please be aware that after 1pm the relaxed hours will be finished, sound and lights will return to normal, and the building may start to be busier with lunch time café audiences.
If you have any questions or would like to communicate access needs in advance of attendance, please email learning@dlwp.com.
