A space for young people to express, share & perform their ideas, ambitions & hopes for where they live. Also includes exploring Sidley area with the De La Warr Pavilion.
On arrival, young people will be greeted by programme facilitator, Sam, and have a snack & drink together while chatting about what to expect & what they want from their time spent together over the 4 days. All refreshments, snacks and lunch will be provided throughout the day. A project where young people are invited to create works that will act as backdrops, props and wearable paintings forming a temporary, mobile and flexible deconstructed bandstand that can support public performances. All works will be informed by local knowledge and questions linked to ideas explored in the exhibitions on display at the DLWP, linking themes of Rewilding, City, Countryside, Coast and histories of bandstands.
