Step into summer with this seasonally themed Lino-cut printing session for beginners with artist Emma Still. In this two-hour session Emma will teach participants about lino printing tools, explaining their use and how to create with them. Emma will guide you in trying each tool and experimenting with carving techniques. Each participant will get to design their own summer postcard print with inspiration from Emma’s work, which they then cut and print in the session, to take home! This session is suitable for beginners and those who want to further develop their skills.
Emma Still is an artist based in Eastbourne. After completing a degree in Illustration from ESCG Hastings, her practice focused on lino printing and she created most of her artworks through print. This interest carried on though out lockdown where she started to make custom cards and prints, creating a wide variety from birthday cards, new home cards and general catch-up cards for friends. She has been developing her practice and skills for many years, understanding the complexities of lino printing and creating amazing works along the way.
