YOUNG CREATIVES COLLECTIVE is a long term mentoring project for young people with experience of seeking refuge, migration or being part of diaspora communities to explore their creativity and achieve their creative, educational and career ambitions.
We are thrilled to announce that the group will be undertaking a two week artist residency at Flatland Projects in Bexhill running from June 9th until June 21st. The group will be exploring the theme of “Community as a Superpower” as part of Refugee Week celebrations. The resulting work will be showcased at De La Warr Pavilion on Friday June 20th at 6:30-8:30pm and Flatlands Projects on June 21st 12-3pm. Work from this residency will form part of a public art trail throughout Bexhill later in the year, leading to an exhibition within the Bexhill train station.
