Originally created as a democratic space that is open to all, today the Pavilion is a pioneering centre for the arts, offering exhibitions, events and entertainment all year round.
Our spaces are practical, versatile and well equipped, but at the same time feel inspiring and modern.
From large conferences, small parties, awards ceremonies or weddings, we can accommodate your needs in stylish surroundings and a stunning seafront setting.
We are proud of our event catering; we like to keep things healthy and fresh. We buy meat, fish and produce from local suppliers and create all our dishes in our kitchen.
As a registered charity all event bookings will help support our building and artistic programme.

Suitable for: Conferences and large events

This is our largest and most prestigious space that overlooks the seafront.
With its distinctive and original ‘dimpled’ acoustic ceiling and generous stage area, fully equipped with theatre lighting and a sound desk, this space is ideal for larger-scale events. It works particularly well for conferences, award ceremonies, trade fairs or any occasion where you want to make a big impact.
The Auditorium is split across two levels and includes a spacious foyer to welcome your guests. We can seat up to 1000 people using a theatre-style layout, or up to 330 with cabaret-style tables. For smaller events we can create an intimate space, for as few as 100 people, using creative lighting design and flexible seating options. The space also includes our backstage area, where you can find dressing rooms, toilet facilities and a fully equipped Green Room, ideal to use as a remote workspace or breakout area.
We can help you devise the perfect floor and seating plans and our expert technical team will be on hand throughout the event to ensure the lighting, sound and layout meet your needs. The Auditorium and Foyer have a bar, toilet facilities and full disabled access.

Our First floor is a stylish, modern space for entertaining.
We can offer an open space around the famous spiral staircase, a long bar, two seating areas for food and drink, relaxing leather sofas and outside balconies, all with stunning sea views.
The whole floor is exclusively yours and can be adapted to suit any occasion, from formal drinks receptions to late-night parties. This space is available for evening hire only. The first floor has full disabled access with lift.

Our Studio is ideal for the smaller scale awaydays, seminars, training sessions or workshops. The bright and generously sized Studio is a standalone space, situated to the west side of the Pavilion with easy access from the road.
It has floor-to-ceiling windows, a private entrance and outside terrace. This versatile space can be adapted to several different functions. There is an in-built projector and sound system, with technical support available throughout your event. We can provide flipcharts, paper and pens, and even large sinks (hidden behind closed doors) for messy creative workshops!
The Studio is equipped with toilet facilities, a small kitchen and has full disabled access.

The Rooftop Foyer is a small space with big views, perfect for drinks receptions, parties, family gatherings and product launches.
Your guests can spill out on to our Roof terrace, which is exclusively yours, to enjoy the vast skies and sea air. We can help you to devise your ideal floor and seating plans and our technical team will be on hand to ensure lighting, sound and layout are perfect for the occasion. The Rooftop Foyer & Terrace has full disabled access.
