The Blistering Story of the Dunlop Road Racing Dynasty
Narrated by Liam Neeson, this is the dramatic and poignant story of two sets of brothers from Northern Ireland who have dominated road racing for over thirty years. Brothers addicted to speed. At any price. Motorcycle road racing is the most dangerous of all motor sports. One in which men compete at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour on closed country roads. Roads that are lined with trees, telegraph posts, stone walls. Ireland and the Isle of Man are two of the few places in the world where the sport still survives. Narrated by Liam Neeson, this is the dramatic and poignant story of two sets of brothers from Northern Ireland who have dominated road racing for over thirty years. Two generations of one family that have been united by success. And united by tragedy.

Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance and the De La Warr Pavilion present The Musical Matinee Club – a season of interactive relaxed film screenings* featuring great songs and fun props and prompts which enable you to bring the action on screen to life in the Auditorium!
*Relaxed screenings are specifically designed to welcome people who may benefit from a more informal environment, including with those living with dementia and disabilities. Auditorium lights will be partially up throughout, there’s a relaxed attitude to noise, audience members are free to move around and come and go whenever they like. There is a quiet area in the Auditorium Foyer for anyone who needs a break during the screening. Our staff and volunteers have attended “Dementia Friends” awareness sessions, and will sensitively and respectfully welcome people living with dementia and their carers.
From September 2016 – February 2017 The Musical Matinee Club will be hosted by Suzy Harvey – a professional actor, with many years’ experience of working with people living with dementia and care providers. She is passionate about improving people’s quality of life through creativity, reminiscence and laughter. She enables people living with dementia in care homes to remake old films, with the Community Interest Company Ladder To The Moon, and facilitates play in childrens’ hospitals as her Giggle Doctor character Dr.Dovetail with Theodora Children’s Charity. She recently mentored Nina Conti during the production of the BBC documentary Nina Conti Clowning Around.

Alive Inside is a joyous cinematic exploration of music and memory’s capacity to reawaken our souls and uncover the deepest parts of our humanity.
Filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett chronicles the astonishing experiences of individuals in the USA who have been revitalised through the simple experience of listening to music. The camera reveals the uniquely human connection we find in music and how its healing power can triumph where prescription medication falls short.
This stirring documentary follows numerous visionaries in healthcare including social worker Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, as he fights against a broken healthcare system to demonstrate music’s ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it. Rossato-Bennett visits family members who have witnessed the miraculous effects of personalized music on their loved ones, and offers illuminating interviews with experts including renowned neurologist and best-selling author Oliver Sacks (Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain), healthcare visionaries Dr. Bill Thomas, Dr. Al Powers, Naomi Fiel, and musician Bobby McFerrin (“Don’t Worry, Be Happy”).
An uplifting cinematic exploration of music and the mind, ALIVE INSIDE’s inspirational and emotional story left audiences humming, clapping and cheering at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
