Town Tales, Home Stories App
Town Tales, Home Stories is an initiative by the De La Warr Pavilion. It aims to increase participation in local and cultural heritage by enabling everyone to hear and record place-based stories on the Town Tales, Home Stories web app.

Local community partners have been invited to publish questions that provoke real-life stories from a diverse range of people and communities from Bexhill and the surrounding area. Through sharing, Town Tales, Home Stories connects people, groups and places, encouraging learning and knowledge sharing and offering the listener a way to discover the hidden culture, histories, and creativity around them.
You can use the app to explore stories that were recorded in your location, or you can use the map feature in the ‘Listen’ section to play stories from locations and towns anywhere in the world.
The app aims to represent and welcomes everybody. However, we reserve the right to remove content that violates copyright, trademark, or intellectual property, or promotes impersonation, unlawful conduct, harassment, or hate speech. If at any point, storytellers wish to remove their stories, they may email us at email@example.com.
Town Tales, Home Stories emerged from De La Warr Pavilion’s Care & Citizenship project, part of AHRC funded DigiPiCH Civic Museums Project: Using Digital Technology to enhance Wellbeing in Civic Museums. Partners of the project are De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea, The Royal Pavilion and Museums Brighton and Hove and The Peale Center for Baltimore History and Architecture, Baltimore. With thanks to The Peale Center for hosting this app.
