Work experience & placements
DLWP supports students at all levels of study, offering opportunities for work experiences and placements. We do this through our role as a Cornerstone Employer .
School Work Experience
When open, we host two work experience placements per term for Yr 10 + students. The placements give students the opportunity to develop and apply knowledge of cultural institutions and employability skills.
We are currently looking at developing online placements. Unfortunately we are not taking any more applications for 2021 but please get in touch at the start of the academic year by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Higher Education placements
Every year we work with:
The Museum Studies MA course at University of Leicester where we host a student who works with our exhibitions and Learning and Participation Programme
The Cultural and Creative Industries MA course at the University of Sussex where a student works with our Communications and Live programming team.
We have also shared a placement the Bexhill Museum, where a BA student from the Brighton University School of Media researched the heritage of our auditorium using archive materials in the Museum.
